Outside of performing, training and his leisure time Dan works in a range of other jobs. He likes to have some flexibility in his work, he enjoys working with people and loves travelling, so the following jobs all allow him to have some variety and is all entirely freelance.

Promotions
Dan also works in promotions as an event manager or brand communicator, types of work include: sampling, special offers, competitions, road shows, exhibitions, costume characters, hospitality and other events. He has worked for companies such as: BBC, Sony, Adidas, X Box, Orange , Siemens, EDF Energy, BT, British Airways, Eurostar, Volvo, Heinz, Galaxy, Red Bull, Pimms, Meena’s, Youngs, Fullers, Esporta, LA Fitness, Alpro Soya, Olympic Bid 2012, Visit London, The Conservative Party, The Times, The Telegraph, The Guardian, Bank of Scotland, Specsavers, Footlocker, E-Sure, Silent Night, PG-Tips, Oxo, and many more.
New Pantomime Productions
In 2000, after four years working with Simon Barry and New Pantomime Productions, Dan became Simon's personal assistant. This involves Dan spending a lot of time working with Simon on the run up to panto season, as well as other performances Simon directs throughout the year. Dan helps with painting scenery, packing costumes, taking care of paperwork and keeping notes . He then travels around the various venues during the rehearsal period working with Simon to look after rehearsals, organising schedules, liaising with cast, and theatre management, running scenes, etc. Since 2004 Dan has acted as Simon's assistant director, which ultimately involves running the production in Simon's absence; taking cast members for rehearsals - blocking scenes, and organising all the other aspects of performance - dancers, musicians and backstage.

Crewco
Dan likes to keep involved in the 'show biz' industry and does a lot of behind the scenes work as well . He works as crew on various events, conferences, concerts and performances across London and surrounding areas. This involves working with sound and lighting equipment, staging and scenery and takes Dan to venues like The Royal Albert Hall, The Royal Opera House, The Coliseum, St. Paul 's Cathedral, Westminster Abbey, Somerset House and many of the top hotels in Mayfair and Park Lane amongst others.
Medieval Banquets
Set in the cellars of Ivory House in the idyllic St. Katherine's Docks the Medieval Banquet transports you back to the court of King Henry VIII. The King hosts the evening assisted by Sir Thomas Wyatt, The Beafeater and Lady Catherine and the entertainment is non-stop in the form of wenches, musical balladeers, dancing handmaidens, jugglers, acrobats, contortionists and the duelling knights.
Dan performs as Henry Hawkesmore the gallant and pure white knight who faces Guy of Gisbourne the foul black knight in combat.
Simply Dance Partners
Keeping the active and performance juices flowing Dan works (if you can call it work) as a Latin and Ballroom dance partner. After training in Cha Cha, Rumba, Samba, Jive, Waltz, Viennese Waltz, Tango, Argentine Tango, Foxtrot and Quickstep Dan partners with inexperienced ladies at classes and events.
The Party Bus
Dan is a rep for The Party Bus, a company that takes parties on night club tours around London and various other cities across the UK . The night consists of a tour of four bars/nightclubs on a 'Party Bus' decorated with balloons and streamers and blaring with music, which the parties are encouraged to get up and dance to. Dan's job is to look after the groups, ensuring they are enjoying themselves and generally join in with them. It's a tough job but someone has to do it!
The Golden Hinde
Dan is a tour guide on the Golden Hinde, a replica of Sir Francis Drake's ship, which circumnavigated the world in 1577. He takes school parties and tourists on a historical tour of life on a ship in the 16th Century.
